Welcome to the website of Lyon Turin Ferroviaire.

LTF, subsidiary of Réseau ferré de France (RFF) and Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI), is the promoter of the joint Franco-Italian part of the future rail link between Lyon and Turin.

The purpose of this site is to regularly inform you on the stakes and the topicality of one of the priority projects of the European Union within the framework of the Trans-European Networks.

Preliminary Project

The delivery preliminary Project of the Lyon-Turin was reached at the beginning of July 2010. This project includes the setting of a new road in Piedmont / Val di Susa.

This preliminary Project has been realized in connection with the principal authority of dialogue, the “technical Observatory”, chaired by Mario Virano for the Italian Government. The Susa Valley local authorities in Piedmont have been fully involved in that new stage.

The studies connected to the preliminary Project were engaged in May 2009. The adoption of the project by the italian government  is scheduled , after inquiry, for the autumn 2010.

Survey gallery of Maddalena

LTF, after presenting the project at the technical Observatory of the Lyon-Turin, launched May 17, 2010 the public approval process related to the future construction site of the survey gallery of Maddalena in the territory of Chiomonte.

This procedure aims to obtain permission from the CIPE (Interministerial Committee for Economic Planning) for this future survey gallery. This implies a prior approbation to a final draft including a study of environmental impact assessment.
